Getting to
Vashon Island
West Seattle ferry dock (Fauntleroy) is 20 minutes from SeaTac International airport. Washington State Ferries runs three routes to the Island, giving you multiple options. Plus, King County Water Taxi serves Vashon from downtown Seattle with a pedestrian only ferry. The short ferry ride to Vashon Island offers relaxing views of the Puget Sound, Mount Rainier & occasional orca whale sightings.

20 minute ferry from West Seattle (Fauntleroy), or 15 minute ferry from North Tacoma (Point Defiance)
Washington State Ferry Schedule
Getting to Vashon is much easier than getting to the San Juan Islands. For Vashon there are no reservations, easy access from Seattle or Tacoma, and a short sailing time.
1. West Seattle (Fauntleroy) to Vashon. Washington State Ferries. Takes cars and pedestrians about every hour, 7 days a week. 20 minute crossing
2. Downtown Seattle to Vashon. Pedestrians only. Weekdays & Holidays only, ten sailings per day. 25 minute crossing time
King County Water Taxi Schedule
3. Point Defiance (Tacoma) to Vashon (Tahlequah terminal). Takes cars and pedestrians about every hour, 7 days a week. 15 minute crossing time
4. Kitsap Peninsula (Southworth) to Vashon. Takes cars and pedestrians about every hour and a half, 7 days a week. 10 minute crossing time
Ground Transportation
1. Vashon School Bus Charters are available to transport guests to/from and your event or to/from SeaTac airport. They can be hired over multiple days and can serve both north end and south end ferry terminals simultaneously with their fleet of buses and drivers. They write custom routes to serve guests wherever they're staying on the island--offering door to door service from lodgings to and from the venue. No charge for wait times when not driving. Reasonable rates. Three types of buses are available:​

2. On-island private taxi services also for hire. Note: having access to a vehicle is generally the best way to get around Vashon
By Air
​1. Vashon Island Airport serves private aircraft and charters. It's less than a 10 minute flight from Boeing Field or Sea-Tac Airport
​2. Kenmore Air can serve Dockton Park with its fleet of various sized float planes. Dockton Park is a 10 minute drive to Foxglove Lodge. Kenmore Air also offers land plane charters. Their planes can serve a distance of at least 200 miles
By Sea
There is a public dock at Dockton Park. For overnight moorage in Inner Quartermaster Harbor:
1. Quartermaster Marina is open to the public. It is located about 1 1/2 miles from Foxglove Lodge
2. Quartermaster Yacht Club. Guest moorage is available for members of yacht clubs sharing a reciprocal agreement with Quartermaster Yacht Club
3. There are public mooring buoys in Quartermaster Harbor
